In Birdsboro, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Pennsylvania, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. I took a chance and went there late morning on Mother's Day. It of course was mobbed!! I was greeted by one of the gals who works there shortly after I parked asking if she could help, and she offered to put the three shrubs I decided to buy up in the car for me and then walked me up to the register. She could not have been any nicer and helpful. The nursery selection was wonderful. I plan on spending more money there in the near future!!

I've been coming here for flowers and soil for the past 5 years. This year, I visited 2 other nurseries before coming back, and none of the other places hold a candle to Spring Gardens in terms of Customer Care! If you want extensive selection and products, along with fair prices and exceptional service from knowledgeable staff, THIS is your place!
